xTax

Tanner and Kyle finished the PricewaterhouseCoopers xTax competition this last week and ended up taking 2nd place out of twelve teams. They thoroughly enjoyed the competition and loved the challenge. Their team was called HATA, which stands for the Health and Tax Advisers. Their case was to come up with tax law modifications to help raise tax revenue in order to improve health care.

Hobbies

If anyone knows me very well I've always got some new hobby going on. My mom makes fun of me for it... "One second it's this, and the other it's that." She's right. However, I LOVE IT!!!!!

Lately I've been into making soldered charms and hair accessories.

After seeing Whip It I definitely want to join a roller derby league. (That will never happen but I do day dream about it with a huge smile on my face).

I also definitely want to go back to school this summer. Not for a degree just for fun. I really want to take more art classes. I seriously screwed up in high school and college by taking all these Spanish classes- I should have been actually taking classes like photography and painting. While at BYU I did sign up for an oil painting class but every time I had class I was always mounatin biking with my family and could never get myself to go. If mountain biking was a class I'd take that but it isn't so I'll have to stick with art.

I really need things to keep me busy while Tan is always studying and working so if anyone loves their hobby please share it with me!

Pictures

I haven't posted for a while now because I was wanting to post all my pictures from Utah however....... I lost all my photos from that trip. I'm SO sad and I don't know how it happened!

I have to move on and I do have more to post so that's a plus.

My friend Brooke flew in from California this week to see Lydia and to hang out. We haven't seen each other in over a year so it was really fun to get together. We first met because we were roommates up in Utah in 2006 and we've been friends ever since.

While she was here we did everything girls love to do...
-Make Jewelery (Soldered Charms)
-Take pictures of babies (Lydia of course)
-Watch movies (Practical Magic, The proposal, Meercats, WHIP IT, My Life in Ruins)
-Eat Out (Gordon Bierch, Sprinkles, Sweet Cakes, Tia Rosa's, RA...)
-Go Shopping (Dana Park, SanTan Village, Orange Patch, Mill Ave.)
-Try to have a spa day (I have a spa membership so we went go go get massages and such and when we arrived.... "da-da-da-da" it was no longer open. Surprise. Surprise. So Sad. So Sad.)
-Make Dinner (Fajitas... and... then we gave up and ate out)

Here's some pictures-
